How ElitoLux works
ElitoLux is an editorial website about aviation, motoring, yachting and technology. Reading articles does not require an account or acceptance of optional browser-ID analytics.
Website delivery and security
Cloudflare provides website delivery, security, hosting and storage. Requests necessarily involve limited technical information, such as an IP address, requested page and browser or device information, which may be processed to provide and protect the service.
Optional article analytics
If you accept optional analytics, we use a randomly generated browser ID to count article opens and estimate different browsers. Our private article records associate that ID with an article, first and latest recorded visit times, and an open count. This is an estimate of browsers, not an identification of individual readers. The browser ID has a 180-day expiry and is not used by us for personalised advertising.
Without acceptance, the optional counter does not run. You can reject or change the choice in Privacy settings. Rejection removes the optional identifier from this browser and stops future browser-ID measurement. Historical counts and analytics records may remain; withdrawing permission does not retrospectively erase them. Privacy and deletion questions can be sent to the contact below.
Cloudflare aggregate statistics
Cloudflare Web Analytics is separately enabled for aggregate usage and performance measurement under Cloudflare's configured privacy settings. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies, local storage or fingerprinting to track individual users over time. It is separate from ElitoLux's optional browser-ID counter. Choosing Reject optional does not change the separate Cloudflare configuration.
See Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's privacy policy for provider details.
Privacy preferences
A first-party preference cookie remembers acceptance or rejection for up to 180 days. Closing the notice without choosing leaves optional browser-ID analytics off and remembers dismissal only for the tab session. The Cookie Policy explains the storage names, purposes and controls.
Information you provide
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use this to respond and handle related editorial or business communication.
Links and embedded content
External websites and any embedded services operate under their own policies. A normal external link does not load that destination's content until you follow it. This optional analytics feature does not enable personalised advertising.
Retention and your choices
Browser preferences and optional browser IDs expire as described above. We retain contact, security and operational information only as reasonably needed for its purpose. Stored article analytics records and historic counts can remain after a browser preference changes. Contact us to ask about access, correction or deletion of information you provided or that can be associated with your request.
