Your privacy choices
ElitoLux uses storage for privacy preferences, security and optional article analytics. You can read every story, navigate the site and use its main features without accepting optional analytics.
Essential preferences and security
We use the first-party cookie elitolux_consent_v1 to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional article analytics for up to 180 days. Dismissing the notice without choosing keeps optional analytics off and records only a notice-dismissal preference in session storage for that tab. Cloudflare may also use necessary security technologies to deliver and protect the website.
Optional article analytics
Only after acceptance, ElitoLux stores a random browser identifier in elitolux_visitor_id, with its expiry in elitolux_visitor_id_expiry. These local-storage entries last up to 180 days from creation. They allow us to count article opens and estimate how many different browsers read an article. A browser is not the same as a person. We do not use this identifier for personalised advertising.
Before you choose, after rejection, or when the choice has expired, this optional measurement is off. Rejection removes this browser's optional identifier. Browser storage can also be cleared through your browser settings.
Separate Cloudflare aggregate statistics
Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled separately to provide aggregate usage and performance information under its configured privacy settings. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies, local storage or fingerprinting to track individual visitors over time. The optional article-analytics switch controls ElitoLux's browser-ID counter; it does not change Cloudflare's separate configuration.
Read about Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Changing your choice
Use Privacy settings in the footer at any time. Accepting enables future optional article measurement; rejecting stops it on this browser. Changing a choice does not erase historical visit counts or previously stored analytics records. Contact us with privacy or deletion questions. If preference storage is blocked, optional measurement stays off.
External services
Following a link takes you to that service's website and policies. Any embedded third-party content may involve that provider's own technologies. This optional analytics feature does not enable an advertising-cookie programme.
